i lost myself in the middle of summer. i went outside and stood taller than the trees. i stared back east, i couldn't blink, and i only saw you. i want the feeling to fade out but it just seems to last. it settles like a new tooth and feels so awful. i want you to be around, so when i start coming down you'll make me feel a little better. i lost myself in the middle of summer. i walked up the steps and into a lucid dream. i felt the heat, i felt the ache, and i only saw you.
I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
