i'm the first one to show up uninvited and the last one to leave. you know i haven't got anyplace else to be. how long has it been since i was green? pull me out of the day-to-day in this scene. it takes so long to find something true. i'll dust out an empty space and hold it for you. i'm the last one to show up when i'm wanted and the first one to leave.

I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
