i wanna get close to you, but i don't know how to not get nervous when you walk into the room. we're hanging out on your porch, and words just sort of fall out of my mouth and gather in a pile on the floor. dead weight in the deepest pool, i'm looking for something to sink into. trying to fade into blue. this is the best that i can do, but i'll try a little harder for you. i wanna get close to you, but i don't know how to not get nervous when you walk into the room. just humming the same three songs, and i've been out of it for so long i'm not sure what it is anymore.
I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
